Hello to anyone reading this, and happy new year!
I've decided to delete all my blog posts and start afresh since my previous posts didn't really have any structure and I didn't post as regularly as I would have liked to. Since the new year has begun, what better way to start off this blog than with a post on my new year's resolutions?
1. My first very generic resolution is to drink more water. I'm aiming to drink about 6 glasses of water daily and so far, this has been going quite well. I can't believe used to go by drinking only a glass of water a day, sometimes even less!
2. I'd like to eat a lot more healthily and stop having my usual combination of a packet of crisps, a chocolate bar and a sugary drink for lunch at school!
3. Being punctual is something I'm not very good at! I've always struggled to get to school on time and I hope to put an end to it this year!
4. Read more books! Reading is one of my favourite things to do and last year I don't think I read a single book for pleasure! I really missed enjoying a good fiction book haha. My copy of Divergent (by Veronica Roth) came in the post today and I'm so excited to read it since I've read so many good reviews on it!
5. Try to revise throughout the year and not leave everything until 2 weeks before my exams! My mock exams begin in 2 days and so far, I've not done a whole lot of preparation! I don't really regret not revising very much because last term was very stressful so I definitely needed the break! I will, however, try to start
revising daily from the 11th of January for my A2 exams in the summer because I can't mess up then haha!
6. Be in bed by 11:00 pm and get at least 7 hours of sleep! This will be really difficult because during the weekdays, I go to bed quite late since I usually start my school work late. I really hope to change this and get enough sleep.
7. Read Quran daily. I'm going to try to read for least 15 minutes daily because I need to reconnect with Allah and not just turn to him in times of need!
8. Stress less and worry less about the future!
So those are my resolutions for this year, I really hope I stick to at least some of them!
A :)
